Introduction
Thank you for using BooxShare. This Privacy Policy explains how BooxShare handles selected files, upload targets, and local settings.
1. Data Collection
BooxShare does not collect, sell, or share your personal data. We do not receive your files, usage history, diagnostics, or device identifiers through BooxShare.
2. Files
When you choose files in the main app, drop files into the app, or send files through the Send to Box share extension, BooxShare reads those user-selected files and sends them to the BOOX Web service URL you configure.
Those files are not sent to servers controlled by the developer.
3. Local Settings
BooxShare stores your BOOX Web URL, recent local URLs, and document conversion preferences on your Mac. These settings are stored in an App Group shared container so the main app, share extension, and Finder Quick Action can use the same configuration.
4. Markdown-to-PDF Conversion
If Markdown-to-PDF conversion is enabled, BooxShare converts user-selected Markdown files to PDF locally for upload or Finder Quick Action export. Normal user-facing builds do not send converted documents to the developer.
Development builds may keep local debug copies in the app's App Group container or system temporary directory so the developer can review conversion output. This does not apply to normal user-facing builds.
5. Network Use
BooxShare connects only to the BOOX Web service URL you provide. Uploads happen over your selected local or network address.
6. Third-Party Services
The current version does not include ad tracking, analytics SDKs, cloud accounts, relay upload services, or developer-side file storage.

If BooxShare's data handling changes in the future, this page will be updated and the date above will change accordingly.
